This service is designed for clients and partners alike and consists of two main activities: scoping and detailed project planning. In the scoping phase, CleanCode will assist your team in identifying the functional areas of the system and mapping them to business objectives. The result is a prioritized list of portal services with a high-level phased delivery approach. Once these have been confirmed with the project owners, we will build an implementation plan consisting of a detailed project plan and a proposed team structure with roles and responsibilities. An implementation plan is highly instrumental in estimating required efforts, release planning, skills assessment and resource scheduling.

Identifying architecture components and integration points as early as possible in the process is a corner stone of successful implementation. In our experience, clients that invested in architecture planning, even before a vendor is selected, have significantly increased the chance of designing a robust and flexible solution. Some issues discussed during the workshop (e.g. integration to legacy systems, permissioning and personalization) have technical as well as business implications; for this reason, participation of user representatives and domain expert is highly encouraged. A formal deliverable includes topics and areas for further investigation during the architecture phase of the project.
